In class discussion of "Roselily and "Araby" Test (1 hour) If you missed the in class test, there is an alternative test available. (See Genre Test button to the right. Passcode: Shortstory This test is only available until midnight April 9) Homework: Choose one of the novels on the Resource List and begin reading. You will have a literary analysis due April 29. In addition, read the selected poems (see Resource List) and be prepared to discuss them in class on April 22. *Due to LGA standardized testing, there will be no class next week. You may access the quizzes by using the buttons to the right or by using the Basic Quiz Link to the right and the appropriate pass code.Each quiz has a time limit. You are given one attempt at the quiz. The grade for the first attempt is the grade that will go in the gradebook regardless of how may attempts you make. March 4 Write an essay (1 1/2 to 2 pages, typed, 12 font, double space,MLA style) in which you discuss one of the topics presented in class: Identify the main symbols and how they function (Sean's group did this one) OR analyze the ways in which this story's effectiveness as propaganda (Solomon's group did this one) OR Identify and analyze theme (Shaniel's group) In addition, read The New Year's Sacrifice page 441 and answer Analyzing Literary Technique page 455.
